But... after stealing our opponents ball my teammate made a fast break and i tailed him from behind in case he missed the ball. Two of my opponent's teammate marked him and prevented him from shooting and so he passed the ball to me. it was a high ball and i had to jump for it. As soon as i landed, i could hear a 'crack" sound and i couldn't feel my left leg. Immediately, i fell to the ground and at that moment, i knew that was in DEEP SHIT!
My friends quickly approached me and asked me if i was okay? i couldn't feel any pain at that time but i knew that a few moments ago, i landed like this and i sprained my ankle. i tried to get up and walk but my leg was not responding to the instructions that my brain gave. The coach asked my friends to pull me up slowly and bring me to him. he asked me to put my left leg on the bench while i sit on the floor to prevent the blood from clotting at the injured area and thus making it swollen. he also asked one of my teammate to go and buy ice from the nearby coffee shop to stop the swelling. In my mind, i was like " is this a dream? if it's not ,i'm definitely in trouble this time. " i waited for another 30 minutes till my mother came and picked me up from the school. We immediately went to the chiropractor in tai pan.
The 1 hour and 30 minutes in the chinese clinic in tai pan could be one of the most suffering moments of my life. the doctor did an x-ray on my leg to see whether it was fractured or not. Thank god I just sprained it but it was quite a serious case because i jumped quite high for the ball. the doctor tried to straighten my leg and to fix my sprained ankle but my ankle was already swollen to the size of a tennis ball. So... the doctor had to use a needle to poke the swollen area and he used a type of suction cup to suck out the blood clot. He had to do it for about 30 to 40 times( not exaggerating) and i was in agony. For a person who has been poked by dozens of needles before ,whether it's taking injection or going for accupunctre treatments, the pain was unbearable and excruciating.
I had to do it again the following day which was yesterday. and i the doctor had to suck out the blood clot again. this time... i screamed my lungs out. i think i scared the other patients who were waiting outside. HAHAHA . After the treatment, i had to buy crutches from ss 15 . And now i'm officially on crutches. NOT AN EXCITING EXPERIENCE THOUGH!!! :(
Because of my sprained ankle, i can't perform my beatboxing in genting anymore which was scheduled to happen tomorrow on the 20th . Sigh... i don't even know whether i would be able to play for my team in the districts competition ( MSSD)for basketball which is in 3 weeks time. WHAT TO DO???
