As i said in my previous post ,I will be updating about Clarence/ Claire's birthday party which was held at Tai Pan business center in a steamboat restaurant called Garden Steamboat on the 10th of June. It was actually a last minute planning kinda celebration. I almost forgot that it was Clarence's birthday on the 7th of June. Thank you Facebook! So Janice and I had this idea of throwing a party for Clarence since we didn't get him anything the day before when we were at Sunway. After a few calls and notifications later on Facebook... the party was on! The only thing left was to figure out on how to make it a surprise party for Clarence. But thanks to some big mouthed woman named Samantha he almost found out that we were throwing a surprise party for him. Thank God my co-planner Janice thought of a story to make it seem that a few of us were only going to show up when in actual fact all 12 of us were going to show up at his party.
So that evening, I arrived at Tai Pan at around 6.10 and met up with Sue May, Janice, Eugene and Jedediah . We went to Secret Recipe to buy the birthday cake . Then, along the way to the steamboat restaurant... we met up with Mei Yen. When we arrived at the restaurant, there were only two people there and we were making so much of noise like we owned the bloody place. A few mintues later we were joined by Yi shuen, Patrick and Cheok Weng.
I told Clarence to come a little bit later because we didn't want him to find out that so many of us were there. He arrived at the place at around 6. 45 and our miserable attempt to surprise him actually went quite well. He was shocked that so many of us were there when he only expected 3 people to show up. We then started eating because all of us were pretty hungry . Sue may started taking all the prawns because she loved prawns! ( I think she a bit gila wan... cause that night itself, she took about 20 prawns.) . The gang were split into two tables. My table consisted of the birthday boy, Sue May, Eugene and Samantha who came 10 minutes later along with her family. Darshan joined the second table 15 minutes later. The whole night was just full of madness and mini competitions to see which table made the most noise, who would eat the most prawns ( obviously little miss prawn queen a.k.a TAN SUE MAY , won all of us by a clear mile) who would get the most fish... LOL!!!
After that... I took Samantha's DSLR and started taking pictures . I didn't know that all of them were such posers and camwhorers ! :P HAHA! After the cutting cake ceremony, we took a few more pictures, payed the bill and called it a night...
